Ipex's geophysical team is composed by some of the best and most experienced geophysicist of Latin America. The group has more than 20 years expertise in oil and gas exploration in sedimentary basins ranging from Brazilian/ West Africa Margins, Sub-Andean and Proterozoic/ Paleozoic Onshore Basins. All the professionals have PhD or MSc degrees and have worked in major E&P companies in the Southern Hemisphere such as Petrobras, Eni, BG, PDVSA and Repsol.

The geophysicists of IPEX are domestically and internationally experienced, they are responsible for important petroleum discoveries in the Brazilian/ West Africa Margins, Sub-Andean and Proterozoic/ Paleozoic Onshore Basins. Our team is able to work in different geological settings and has wide proficiency in South-America, Western Africa and South Atlantic Basins. E&P methods such as seismic interpretation, seismic attribute extractions, fast seismic processing and depth conversion operations are used routinely to evaluate international Bid Rounds areas in Brazil and abroad. Leads and prospects generations and their volumetric calculations are performed through using state-of-art software such as Petrel (Schlumberger) and EPOS Suite softwares (Paradigm). Our geophysicists work together with geochemists and geologists in order to provide geological models that identify and characterize effective petroleum systems in sedimentary basins, highlighting core areas.
