T
he IPEX Brazil Geodata information system, considered being the most complete and integrated geologycal-geochemical system available, contains integrated information on onshore and offshore exploration areas of the whole Brazilian onshore and offshore basins.
The oil and rock samples from all Brazilian basins were analysed, interpreted and integrated in a Petroleum System approach under the scrutinity of the highest qualified personnel from IPEX. Systematically, all the data are updated automatically as they become available from Agencia Nacional de Petroleo (ANP).
The Brazil Geodata is a multclient database that has been subscribed by most of the petroleum companies working in Brazil. The web-based system is user-friendly, very handy and can be accessed easily from all around the world.
Companies find the Geodata critical since all the geochemical and geological information is seamlessly integrated into the map, and interpretation is made within just a few clicks of the mouse.
IPEX pledges to stock the Geodata database with fresh geochemical data on a regular basis, for example in Brazil, with a minimum number of 20 oils & 20 rock wells per year.
Data from the following geochemical analyses are typical to the Geodata:
Oil Samples:
- Saturates, Aromatic and NSO content
- API degree
- S%
- Whole oil GC
- Whole oil Carbon Isotopes
- Saturate GC-MS
- Aromatic GC-MS
- Geochemical interpretation Summary for source, thermal Evolution and Biodegradation
- PVT data report, where available
Rock Samples:
- TOC
- Pyrolysis Rock Eval
- Geochemical Log
- Natural Series Plot
- Interpretation
- Vitrinite Reflectance
- Organic Extracts for oil to source rock correlation
IPEX also guarantees that the analytical data will be compatible with the existing data in the database.
